I. OPTION: SUMMER INTERNSHIP PROGRAM: starting on MAY 15, JUNE 1 or JUNE 15 until JULY 31
The enrollment in the optional summer academic course (4 ECTS = 2 American credits) costs additional $600.
The syllabi of the summer academic course from the previous years:
- 2010 summer academic course: Cultural and Ethnic Diversity in East and Central Europe
- 2009 summer academic course: Geopolitics of East and Central Europe
- 2008 summer academic course: Central Europe: Democratization, Economic Transition, Civil Society and EU Integration
Students are responsible for:
- housing - approx. $400-$600 per month. Students can also stay with their families/friends in Warsaw while participating in the program;
- food - approx. $400-$500 per month;
- airfare - approx. $900-$1000;
- miscellaneous personal expenses approx. - $500-$1000 (depending on individual needs and spending habits).

Optional credits*

2 ECTS for an optional Polish language course are included in the above fees.
4 ECTS for internship seminar is included in the above fees. As par of the seminar students will deliver one internship presentation and submit a final essay about student's internship experience.
The enrollment in customized course(s) that come with at least 4 ECTS (equivalent of 2 American credits) during 4-10 week internship programs costs additional $600.
Civitas prepares and offers customized course(s) that run independently of and parallel to the Civitas standard academic program offered in a given semester. |
The enrollment in the language course and two additional courses selected from credited seminars that are offered in Civitas English-language B.A. and M.A. programs are included in the above fees (11-20 week internship programs).
Any additional ECTS* beyond the courses mentioned above costs $70 per credit.

In the Winter/Spring semesters credited courses start from the end of February and run till the mid of June. |
Fall internships can start anytime after September 1 and end in the second half of December.
Winter and Spring internships can start anytime after January 10 and end in the mid of June. |

The above fees for the internship programs in Fall, Winter and Spring include:
- internship placement process, internship monitoring and evaluation;
- internship seminar (4 ECTS = 2 American credits) - at no extra cost
- basic Polish language course (2 ECTS= 1 American credit) - at no extra cost
- participation in cultural and academic events organized by Collegium Civitas;
- basic medical insurance coverage in Poland for the duration of the program;
- airport/train station pick up upon arrival in Warsaw;
- welcome package;
- cell phone for the duration of the student's stay. Cell phones are distributed to the students upon the receipt of a
refundable deposit in the amount of $100 (paid to Civitas upon arrival). Full deposit is given back to students when
the cell phones are returned undamaged to Civitas.
Students are responsible for:

- miscellaneous personal expenses - approx. $500-$1000 (depending on individual needs and spending habits).

Scholarship:
Currently, no scholarship is available. Students are encouraged to contact thier study abroad/financial aid offices to inquire about any available financial aid that can cover the program fee as well as look for other outside funds.
Payment deadlines:
Students are asked to submit a non-refundable deposit in the amount of $400 within a week after being informed about the acceptance to the program regardless of the selected option. The non-refundable deposit covers the time and resources that Civitas and GEL spend on securing an appropriate internship placement that match student's interests, preferences as well as skills and experience. Deposit will be credited towards the program fee.
The remaining payment is due at the end of the internship placement process.
